Emily and Nathan's favorite winter!

We love the idea of this blog and thought we'd post a few pictures about our adventures in California.

We live about 2 miles from the above beach, and are absolutely in love with this amazing January weather (aka 70 degrees and sunny...most days). The sunsets are better in person so feel free to stop by. We offer free food and lodging until June 2008! :)

Even better than the nearby beaches (and there sure are a lot of them) is that the amazing San Diego temple withing walking distance of our apartment, which is also more beautiful in person.

We are excited to continue reading updates from the family...thanks for putting this together Amy!

Love, Emily and Nathan

Handy work by John

This year for Christmas Grandpa Holwege continued his tr
adition of building something for the new grandkids. Years past he had built toy boxes, but in 2007 he went for baby doll cradles. A job well done Grandpa

Rockin New Years Eve 2007

Ok, I just wanted everybody to see how hard Shane played New Years Eve. He rocked the night away with Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive". It was kind of funny we had to stop at the 711 on our way over to the party and I made Shane go in alone because I was sporting the big 80's hair and I really didn't want to show it off, plus what 33 year olds dress punk these days. Anyways we made it to the party and had a good time and guess who won the "Best 80's fashion contest"? SHANE!! It was great to see all of our friends dressed up and having a good time. I played the drums a couple of time and of course screwed it up so I had to pass the sticks over to someone else. It's hard. I hope everyone had a good new years.

Soon to be married...

Nate & Stephanie will be married March 22, 2008.

Latest on Shane and Amy

Shane and I were in Portland this year for christmas. It was fun to see family, take a trip to Seaside to visit with my grandma Holwege and treat ourselves to a bowl of clam chowder. Of course it rained the whole time we were home, but it was nice to see snow christmas morning. shane and I are doing very well, we love Logan and enjoy being married. We both are working for the same company during the day. I have taken on a second job working at a spa in the evenings and Shane is traveling to Brigahm City 2 times a week for his internships. Life keep us busy, but it's always nice to have our lazy days, cuddle up on the sofa and watch a sci-fi or action flick. I enjoy my scrapbooking ans Shane enjoys his Wednesday night games with the guys. We love being close to Anna and Chad and get together with them every once and a while. Micheals here in Logan somewhere. I've been a bad cousin and have been slacking in inviting him to dinner. Sorry, Michael. Thats it for now except for a photo from our New Years Eve Rock Party!

How I remember

This is how I remeber grandma and grandpa. I loved every moment I had with them. I will always remeber the fun times. Slumber parties, blueberry pancakes, climbing the apples tree, walking Glendovear and running through the closets. We really have the best grandparents in the world.
